Hi. I’m Prema Yin, a
Sound Designer and Composer.

I am an award winning singer songwriter from Malaysia with a hidden passion for interactive media i.e. animation and games.

A graduate at the Australian Institute of Music, Sydney for Music Production and Composition, I have been involved and active in the music industry for 16 years taking on different roles i.e performer, songwriter, composer and lyricist, travelling locally and regionally working with exceptional musicians and artists all over the world.

As a composer, I identify key elements of a story which in return helps assists me in creating the sonic aspect of a project. I am easy to work with and reliable. Able to work within a timeline and always looking to grow and improve my craft.”

'Noteworthy'

"In May 2020, I commission Prema to create new sound works as part of City of Sydney’s Creative Fellowships Fund. The project titled Noteworthy Project: Sydney Creatives in Quarantine featured 20 culturally diverse writers, musicians, illustrators and podcast producers who had been directly affected by the Covid-19 situation, in particular those who have depended on their art form as their main source of income.

Prema created a beautiful musical composition piece that was moving and appropriately woven into the written text by another local writer. The Noteworthy project is an example of how the arts can be a powerful enabling force for social change, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic."
